GazaConnect.org is a grassroots mutual-aid platform built by independent volunteers who have had the privilege of connecting with beautiful, resilient people from Gaza. Having spent years listening to their stories, following their journeys, and living through their lens on social media, we built this space to break the isolation and introduce the outside world directly to the individuals and families fighting to survive.

No, we are not an NGO, an agency, or an institution. We are an exhausted, independent group of volunteers with limited personal resources who refuse to look away. Having poured everything we have into helping the people we have come to love over the years, we hit our financial limits. GazaConnect was born out of that urgency: an honest bridge to connect kind souls around the world directly with families on the ground who desperately need support.

Our listings are grounded in direct relationships cultivated over time and thorough vetting:

• Direct Human Ties: We talk with these families personally, having tracked their journeys and daily realities for years.
• Identity & Location Checks: We review identity documents, real-time video communications, and location verification from inside Gaza or transit points outside.
• Direct Payout Checks: We confirm that every linked fundraising campaign (GoFundMe, Chuffed, etc.) or peer-to-peer payout method (digital e-wallets, direct bank details) belongs directly to the family or their trusted, authorized organizer.

Years of war do not end when someone makes it across a border. Many displaced individuals and families living in places like Egypt face crippling apartment rents, residency renewal fees, and steep medical bills for severe injuries—all while shouldering the responsibility of wiring every possible dollar back to extended family members still trapped inside Gaza.

No. GazaConnect never touches, pools, or intermediates your donations. Every single listing points directly to that family's own verified fundraiser or personal payment account. We act purely as a connector so aid reaches people immediately without bureaucratic friction.

Engaging with and sharing content makes an enormous difference. Algorithms frequently suppress individual emergency appeals. By interacting with our TikTok lives, reposting posts & stories from @gazaconnectofficial and @GazaConnect.org, tagging friends, and sharing family profiles, you bring critical visibility to people who feel completely forgotten. You can also volunteer skills—such as video editing, translation, or campaign management—by messaging our team.

Because we are a small volunteer team doing manual vetting, we take on profiles as our capacity allows. We prioritize critical medical emergencies, unaccompanied minors, and families living in extreme peril.

The safety and security of our brothers and sisters in Gaza is our sacred, top priority. Unlike some platforms that recklessly publish exact GPS coordinates and live refugee shelter maps on the open internet, GazaConnect NEVER publishes exact locations, shelter pins, or raw coordinates.

Any location data or coordinates shared during onboarding are strictly used internally by our human verification team solely to confirm that the applicant is physically in Gaza. Once verified, this data is vaulted offline. Public cards only show general, safe areas (e.g. "Deir al-Balah, Gaza Strip" or "Khan Younis")—never exact coordinates. Families also have complete control over their photos, display names, and details. Our method works best: 100% verified authentic aid with 100% guaranteed safety for every family on the ground.
